    Out for Undergrad has a proud alumni community of almost 9,000 LGBTQ2+ leaders who have participated in our conferences and programs as students, sponsors, mentors, and volunteers. The Alumni Association, supported by the Alumni and Special Events Team, provides opportunities for O4U Alumni to connect and give back to inspire the next generation of LGBTQ2+ leaders.

There are many ways to get involved and support O4U’s mission - check out a few opportunities below. Have something else in mind? Get in touch!     • Volunteer at a Conference: Conference volunteers make memories and open doors for students.
    • Pitch Your Company to Sponsor O4U: Sponsors support our students and make our programs possible. Sponsor companies receive exclusive access to the best LGBTQ2+ talent. Want your company to participate? Use these resources to pitch O4U to your company. Want support? The sponsorship team will support you every step.
    • Be a Part of the O4U Team: O4U volunteers from conference directors to strategic operation teams plan, implement, and drive everything we do! Want to dive into O4U? Apply for a role on our team. Positions have a 1-2 year minimum commitment and time commitment varies depending on the role.

    All O4U Alumni—students, sponsors, team members, or volunteers—are eligible for recognition. Nominations, whether self-submitted or on behalf of others, are encouraged. The prestigious awards include the O4U Legacy Award, Empower Award, Trailblazer Award, Breakthrough Award, Alumni Impact Award, and Alumni Achievement Award.

O4U conferences change lives; students build life-long professional networks, meet top employers face-to-face, and land dream roles. It wouldn’t be possible without your support.

    2024 Alumni Award Winners

    Francine and Jess - Award Winner 2024
    O4U Legacy Award - Michael “Rudy” Ruderman and Jon Buck
    This award honors an O4U volunteer who has provided long term exceptional service to the O4U community. Their actions have contributed to a lasting legacy in keeping with O4U’s values and mission.
     
     O4U Empowerer Award - Michael Hamamoto Tribble and Sarah Fay 
    This award honors a committed O4U volunteer - someone with 4 or more years of O4U tenure - who made significant strides in empowering O4U students, volunteer leaders, and the organization as a whole. 
     
    O4U Trailblazer Award - Francine Reyes-Vega 
    This award honors a new O4U volunteer who has taken initiative in growing or improving O4U’s impact, strengthening the organization.
     
    O4U Breakthrough Award - Sean Eagan and Jess Sessoms
    This award honors an O4U volunteer who has driven work around inclusion and belonging. Their commitment and involvement have innovated O4U’s ways of working, strengthening the organization’s mission and impact within our community.
     
    O4U Alumni Impact Award - Nicholas Alm
    This award honors an O4U alumni who has made a significant commitment to making a better tomorrow and strengthening their communities through advocacy and grassroots work.
     
    O4U Alumni Achievement Award - Dylan Wootton
    This award honors an O4U volunteer who has achieved significant success in their field of expertise, and have served as role models, inspiring and strengthening members of the O4U community.
